Grew a pretty sweet beard while I was off adventuring, shaved it off today and I already miss the warmth. Sure it was itchy and made me look like a sex offender, but it was mine and I want it back

Sig, thanks ced for telling me about Anamanaguchi ages ago, I got back into them recently and remembered how incredibly happy and great they are. For anyone who doesn't know, Anamanaguchi are an 8bit indie-punk band that use sounds from a hacked game boy and SNES

I know music is an expression,but what the hell is 8bit indie-punk? I'm a massive punk fan,and obviously played through countless eight bit games...yet I can't begin to understand how indie and punk interact. In my musical universe,indie and punk seem to be the direct antithesis of one another...indie being charming/harmless/mainstream/pretentious crap,and punk being balls to the wall political/painfully personal music,which would never consider a mainstream audience in the creation of it's art. In short...WTF?

That's just being ignorant of other genres! Besides, Indie is only cool as long as it isn't mainstream? Why do you never hear of Sigor ros any more? they got too popular is why

8-bit SUCKS though, Crystal Castles are living proof (Except Crimewave, savage tune). Any music that becomes unbearable after 10 minutes of listening isn't music, it's organised noise.

Anamanaguchi don't suck. I have 50 minutes of their songs on my itunes and I'd gladly listen to all of it. It's not unbearable

Hungover. Went to Time in Naas last night. Rented a bus out and back, was great. Best club I've been to in Ireland. The DJ was absolutely shite though but he played a load of old dance stuff which was great.

Got to DJ back at a party after it for 4 hours which was pretty fun.
