Wiffy - Irish Nintendo Forums

We remember the days that Wiffy was, when it was. A forum that could get people together to play Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii games over Wi-Fi with other Wiffians.

Unfortunately, it seems people have moved on from the DS and Wii (for the most part). We have gone over to other platforms for gaming, such as the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and the PC and people themselves have moved on onto other gaming communities, clans, guilds etc.

When Lupe closed Wiffy.ie last year, most of the dedicated people came over to this forum as a way to stay in touch with other members of the forum. For the first couple of months, people were coming in drips and drabs and posting a few topics and the forum went silent.

The past couple of months in particular have become quite quiet. Updates to the structure of the forum have been slow (Not much developments have been happening on Forumotion's end) and I personally have been working on other sites and playing non-Nintendo games.

This is not a thread about how "Wiffy is closing". No, the forum will never close. This will still be a place for the old members of Wiffy to get together to have a chat, organise a game night or whatever.

I appreciate every single one of you's coming here at least once and looking and even posting on the forums. In all my times managing forums and communities, Wiffy has always the best one! ALWAYS, and that is the reason that I am posting here today.

--What I'm at these days--

I personally have just started a new forum (Crazy huh, called VGIRE, Video Games Ireland). http://vgire.com/f/ It's not a replacement for Wiffy or a replacement for the Gaming section on Boards, but it's just another gaming community for Ireland. There is not a dedicated website for Irish people to talk about gaming, and I planning to change that.
