Figured I'd restart this here (we'll gradually get the lot back over ).
Watching "Dispatches - When Cousins Marry" on Channel 4 right now. So many genetic illnesses!
I'd love to go back to college after I graduate and do another degree in genetics and cell biology!

Re: TV Thread
I'm watching Mad Men season 1 at the moment, have about 3 episode left. Pretty good show, will probably get a lend of seasons 2 and 3 off my cousin once I finish this one.
A week ago i went through the first 2 series of The Big Bang Theory, which were fairly funny. Has some nice geeky references, kinda reminds me of the IT Crowd that way.
And then about 2 weeks ago I finished watching every season of Lost having started about 6 weeks previous to that. Kinda wish I'd started watching it when it first came out, enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would.

I've heard good things about that show. Might start watching it.

Re: TV Thread
It's well worth a go, it's a fairly easy watch. Like phlegms says, it's filled with smoking, which kinda gets a bit tiring as every character seems to have a cigarette permanently stuck to their hand (especially the children). The sexism, of course, never becomes tiring :pYggdrasill wrote:I've heard good things about that show. Might start watching it.
The Wire is one of my favourite TV series; good story, interesting world and some brilliant characters. I really think you should give it a try, not talked to a person who didn't like it.Marvolo wrote:Haven't watched anything in a very long time. Re: TV Thread
Ah man Andy Whitfield, star of Spartacus:Blood and Sand, has had to drop out of season 2 because of the recurrence of the cancer he was previously treated for.No news on what's going to happen to the show although I doubt they'll delay it again(filming of season 2 was already delayed so he could receive treatment).Recasting the main character or cancelling the show entirely look like the most likely options I reckon
