I figure there's a few comic readers here, so why not have a thread for it. Cool

I'm currently reading Buffy Season 8 (can't find past issue 28 online...). I'm liking everything about it apart from the fact that it's a comic. Having grown up with the characters being all fleshy and movey, I don't think it translates very well.

Also I'm two volumes into the Scott Pilgrim series and to be perfectly honest I'm yet to be wowed. That might be just too much hype dampening it for me though. pale

Watchmen is a graphic novel but I'm not sure what the difference is between a GN and a comic. Nonetheless, I have Watchmen too.

I see, 'cause I think the art is one of my main issues. D:
I'm reading it for the exact opposite reason! I saw the trailers, they piqued my interests, and I wanted to read the source material first because I'm like that. Embarassed

There is no difference really.Afaik the term was coined to disassociate what would be considered more serious and mature work from the more childish stuff but at the end of the day comics and graphic novels are pretty much the same thing

Used to collect 2000 AD for years myself.Judge Dredd,Sláine and Rogue Trooper were my favourite characters.Don't collect it anymore though although I'll still have a sneaky read of it if I'm in a newsagents

I rearry rearry need to finish "The Walking Dead".
Would also like to get back into "Y the Last Man". The first trade was fantastic but I ran out of monies. Will most likely pirate the rest of it..

Also I need to severely get back into "Preacher", started reading it to avoid studying for my Leaving cert but lost interest around issue 50. It was pretty great until that point.
